Hey Famz,
Some of you may not know that I am a dog lover and I have two dogs of my own. There’s Tymbo who is 12 and Coco (The DIVA) who is 3 years old.
I decided to lend my voice to the Pedigree Adoption Drive to help raise Money for local Shelters across Canada as so many dogs need a home and a loving family to care for them.
Pedigree is doing an amazing drive where all you have to do is Visit www.mypedigree.ca watch a 1 minute video and they will donate $1 for each view up to $150,000!!
In this photo I am with Mm new friend Daisy. She has a sister named Darcey and they are both available to be adopted.

What (8)IGHT means to me, 30 day Proverb Challenge & More
Hey Famz, Hey JB Warriors, Hello world,
What’s poppin? What’s going on? How have you been?
Man, It’s been at least a year since I took to the bloggestphere and just spoke to ya’ll! It’s September 2nd BUT since I haven’t fallen asleep yet I’m going to treat it like September 1st since I set a goal of blogging again by Sept 1st.
So much to tell you and not enough strength in my fingers to type it all out so let me start by announcing my BRAND NEW ALBUM Entitled (8)IGHT. I’ve been working on for the past year and all I could do is smile when I think about it. This is hands down my BEST album to date. So much so that I certain outlets think I should just be the damn 7 DAY FOOL and “Fall in line.” You all know that’s not going to fly. I’ll dedicate a blog to that in the coming weeks. For now I’ll chill here in my bowl of happy ; )
Some may wonder why I chose the title (8)IGHT for my forth album…Well to enlighten you I’ve listed eight reasons below.
(8)IGHT= A new beginning. If 7 is completion, 8 is a new start.
(8)IGHT= Infinite Possibilites
(8)IGHT= A way has been made (Japanese Philosophy)
(8)IGHT= I’m the 8th child born
(8)IGHT= I’m born on November 8th
(8)IGHT=My producer YoungPete Alexander was born on December 8th
(8)IGHT=Two circles help up by an unseen force called FAITH
This last one is kinda Deep….
(8)IGHT: The number eight governs the life of the man: at 8 month the baby teeth appear; at 8 years, he loses them; at 2 x 8 years, it is the puberty; and he becomes impotent at 8 x 8 years.
This past year has truly been new in so many ways. I have renewed my faith, I have a attitude, new love for life, new outlook on life, new album, new management, new production team, new TEAMJULLYBLACK team, new band members, so many new fans (That I LOVE), new YOGA practice, new friends, just so much newness it’s not funny!
All of this newness didn’t come without sacrifice but if that’s what it took to get me to a place of wellness and wholeness then I wouldn’t change a thing.
SEPTEMBER will be a month of even more growth only this time I am choosing to work on my spirit by reading the entire book of Proverbs as a daily devotion. There are 31 chapters in Proverbs so today I read two so that it lines up with the 30 days in this month. Feel free to visit http://www.biblegateway.com for all the scriptures and translations. I personally like he NIV version cause all of those thou shalt nots can be confusing!
Ok well, that’s all for my 1st post! Yaay! So happy to be back. Don’t worry, the KEEPIN IT REAL Jully Black will be back shortly. For now I feel like hugging some trees and burning some incense ; ) Charge it to Yoga! I had to run to Yoga today after a certain somebody sent my blood pressure up so high and fast my head could have popped off my neck! Instead I’ll leave you with this:
